And just by way of further illustrating the points I made in this photo post and expanded upon in this ask, here’s a scene from Taunton State Hospital, a few weeks before they started to demolish the 1850s asylum.  Most of the building - I’d say a solid 95% of it - was perfectly safe.  And then there were the parts that weren’t.  Some of them - such as this collapsing dayroom, where patients once congregated and played cards - were obviously dangerous.  But then there were the times that you’d walk down a corridor that seemed perfectly solid and all of a sudden, boom!  You’d put your foot through the floor and have to kick back quickly with your other leg to avoid falling through.  The point being - abandoned buildings are generally dangerous places, folks!  Or in other words, unless you have some experience and are a risk-taker - don’t try this at home!
